We completed a commission from a London-based client to create their bespoke garden furniture. This included two benches and a table. We worked with garden designer Georgia Lindsay and professional landscaper Nordic Landscapes.
The client wanted to create a sociable area at their Olympic Village house that would be a focal point in the garden. To increase the longevity of the furniture we used steel for the bench and table bases which were sprayed with zinc and powder coated to add to the hardwearing properties. We made the benches and tabletop from low-maintenance and durable Iroko wood. To make the most of the space and to add to the functionality of the furniture we included space for log storage under the benches.
The garden, known as the E20 Pollinator Garden, where our furniture is proudly featured went on to win an Association of Professional Landscapers (APL) award. You can read more and see the other overall winners here.
”Arthur Francis did a fantastic job at interpreting our design brief, we required a bespoke table and benches for one of our London projects. It was essential the items met our exacting standards as the garden was scrutinised by the APL ( Association of Professional Landscapers) judging panel. It went on to win the best construction category. We are currently working on further projects with Arthur Francis Sculpture for other garden projects and are thrilled to have found such a fruitful partnership.” Georgia Lindsay.
Based on your brief we can create bespoke stylish pieces to suit any style or location, or we can develop your ideas into a finished work of art.
Our in-house designers will conceptualise your design via detailed CAD drawings before we start. Our experienced craftsmen will then create and finish the project in our rural workshop.
We craft all our pieces to a high specification using a variety of techniques – both traditional and modern – as well as the latest plasma-cutting technologies.

Corten steel offers an industrial, rustic-style effect and pop against any backdrop.
Cor-Ten is a brand name for steel alloys which were developed to be weather-proof, even without paint. It’s also referred to as ‘weathering steel’, ‘rusty steel’ and ‘Corten’.
The material organically adapts to its environment, producing a vibrant orange patina. This not only protects the steel but creates a stunning finish. Weathered steel is suitably stable. Rather than rusting entirely, the surface transforms over time in a consistent way that prevents further corrosion. The way it weathers will be as unique and attractive as your design.
